Project Report on Ignition Coil For Automobiles
Ignition Coil is for Internal combustion engine and is some time provided with an igniter or an ignition control, circuit integrally therein. The igniter control the primary current of the ignition coil to generate on ignition voltage across the secondary coil to be supplied to a spark plug. The igniter has a plurality of lead wire extending from the ignition coil to be connected to outside sensors and device by means of soldering or welding. The ignition coil is composed of a Cylindrical transformer section igniter switch on & off the primary current of the transformer, a plug cap, disposed the bottom of transformer to connect to a spark plug. The ignition coil has a cylindrical case made of a resinous material which accommodates the transformer, the igniter and insulating oil in the chamber to case has an upper opening through which the transformer and the igniter and put in and the insulating oil is the chamber the case has an upper opening through which the transformer and the igniter are put in and the insulating oil is poured. The upper opening is hermetically closed by a metal cover which is fixed on the outer fringe of the opening by coulkingvia an O-ring.
