Product Description
Project Report on F R P Pipes And Products
The growth of Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP) in the world has been rapid, particularly in USA and UK. The FRP products are still new items in India where immense growth potential exists. FRP is not a substitute for for steel or any other metals, but a unique material in its own right. The main construction materials of fibreglass reinforced products are fiber galss and resin of different types and grades. Basically, heated `bushings' through a number of types n a 7continuous filament from at a speed of several thousand feet per minute. The filaments are than wound as a single untwisted strand. Therefore, the strand is made into different types of Reinforcement - Chopped Strands, Surfacing mat and Rovings. The combination of resin and various glassfibre reinforcements, thus produced, moulded by different methods, results in a material having distinc properties of its own such as high tensile strength, low weight, chemical inertness, good insulating properties and case of moulding.
